Dino Morea Biography

Born to an Italian father and Indian mother, this Sagittarius is not short on confidence. He is cocksure that he will make it as a hero in spite of his first release laying an egg at the box-office.
Listening to him, one could be forgiven for thinking he has his fair share of arrogance but we excuse such minor faults in him for the sake of those divine dimples.
Let's hear it straight from the horse’s mouth. This is Dino uncensored:
"The first 11 years of my life were spent in Italy. Then I came back and a couple of years ago came second at the Gladrags Manhunt.
Since then I have done a lot of ramp work, several commercials (including Close-Up and the sizzling Live In jeans) and Alisha Chinai’s, ‘Vah Vah’ video."
Getting Personal with Dino
"I am most comfortable in my boxers. As for these six-pack abs I got them by working out for a couple of hours everyday and playing basketball once in a while.
I have had to get a haircut since long hair, though great looking, wouldn’t have got me too many jobs. I remember, as a kid I wanted to be Tarzan, or a racing car driver. And my first film is already released. How things change…!"
Foray into the big, bad world of Bollywood
"My dream is, and always will be, Hollywood but you have to start somewhere – so why lose the opportunity. Whether it is here or there it is still acting.
And the best thing about a commercial film is that you have to do a little bit of everything…. Mr.Funnyman, Mr.Toughguy and Mr.Sympathy-grabber; so it’s a great experience.
My role in ‘Pyar Mein Kabhi Kabhi’ is about this college kid who goes to a Performing Arts College because he wants to be a singer. And all that happens at college. Trying to achieve your goals, falling in and out of love, trying to decide between right and wrong…it was the ideal role for a debut."
"I always wanted to be an actor and money is certainly one of the motivations of life. I certainly want to make it big – and rich – and fast. If it means doing a commercial like Calida, why not? And if it is a good picture! Otherwise there is no need."
People who turn me on
"I look up to people like Lee Iaccoca, Dhirubhai Ambani – you know people who have made it in spite of life. Also hot and sexy women. I would love to move in with Salma Hayek, or Julia Roberts (what a beautiful mouth) or hmmm… Bipasha Basu."
What the future holds
"There was an offer for a film but I turned it down because it wasn’t the lead. No plans of quitting fashion, however. I gotta make my money, don’t I?
Later on in life I would love to open a chain of restaurants like MacDonalds but with a rotating menu."
What comes between you and your skin
"I love to wear Armani, Hugo Boss, Rohit Bal and Ravi Bajaj. Colognes are Versus by Versace, Kitone and Polo Sport."
